Conches-en-Ouche: The Francas "Project Millenium" introduces Norman history to the youth

In Conches-en-Ouche, located in the Eure department, the Francas of Normandy association has launched an educational initiative titled "Project Millenium." This program is designed to immerse young people in the history of the region, focusing on the upcoming millennium of William the Conqueror.

Through a series of diverse activities, the project aims to make regional heritage more accessible to the younger generation. The initiative includes the organization of an exhibition, a dedicated contest, and the creation of a temporary Viking village, offering a practical and pedagogical approach to historical discovery.

By combining learning and interactive experiences, the Francas seek to strengthen the youth's connection to Norman history. This project serves as a preparatory engagement for the major commemorations surrounding the legacy of the Duke of Normandy and King of England.
