The Grand Condé pink diamond returns to the Château de Chantilly after a century

The famous pink diamond known as the Grand Condé has returned to the Château de Chantilly, marking its public reappearance after being hidden for a century. The gem had disappeared following a theft in 1926, before being recovered.

It is now on display within the castle's gem gallery, alongside the Penthièvre, a remarkable jonquil-yellow diamond. This presentation allows visitors to view two of the collection's historical treasures in the same location.

The return of the Grand Condé to the estate's collections concludes a long period of absence for this historical piece. Its installation is part of the ongoing preservation and exhibition of the cultural heritage held at the Château de Chantilly.
