Eva Gonzalès' Paintings from Dieppe on Display in Paris and Amsterdam

The Dieppe castle-museum is currently participating in a major monographic exhibition dedicated to the Impressionist artist Eva Gonzalès. Two of her paintings, part of the Dieppe collections, have been loaned for this significant occasion.

Eva Gonzalès, born in Paris in 1847, is recognized as one of the few pioneering women of the Impressionist movement. Her work, though sometimes less exhibited than that of her male contemporaries, holds an essential place in the art history of this period.

These works are first presented at the Petit Palais in Paris, offering the Parisian public a rare opportunity to discover or rediscover the artist's talent. Subsequently, the paintings will travel to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, testifying to the international interest in her artistic heritage.

This loan highlights the importance of the collections preserved in Normandy and their contribution to the promotion of French and international artistic heritage.
