Preservation of Château de Mez-le-Maréchal

Preservation of Château de Mez-le-Maréchal

Volunteers are actively working to safeguard the Château de Mez-le-Maréchal, located in Dordives in the Loiret region. This edifice, sometimes referred to as the "Louvre of Gâtinais," is at the heart of the concerns of a dedicated group, the Amis du Mez, in collaboration with the owner, Florian Renucci.

This preservation project highlights local commitment to historical heritage. The objective is to secure the future of a site that represents a significant part of the history and culture of the Gâtinais region. The approach is driven by the desire to uncover the lesser-known aspects and "secrets" that the castle holds.

The role of the volunteers and the owner is fundamental to this initiative. Their collaboration aims to maintain and restore this monument, thus ensuring its transmission to future generations. This collective action is an example of the importance given to the conservation of cultural assets in the face of time's challenges.
