Repairing for the future: ten years of activity for the Vignoble Nantais Repair Café

Since its creation in 2016, the Repair Café of the Vignoble Nantais has been operating with a clear mission: to offer free workshops dedicated to the repair of everyday objects. Over the past decade, a team of volunteer handymen has successfully restored a significant quantity of items, ranging from small household appliances to electronic devices and computers.
This local initiative aims to extend the lifespan of objects that might otherwise have been discarded. By providing their expertise and technical skills to the public, the volunteers help reduce waste while fostering a culture of repair and sustainability within the community.
These workshops serve as a space for knowledge sharing and mutual aid. Beyond the technical aspect of fixing broken items, the project encourages citizens to rethink their consumption habits, reflecting a broader movement of local ecological responsibility.
