Restoration of the Lorin Workshops in Chartres: A New Phase of Preservation

The Lorin Workshops in Chartres, a site of significant historical and artistic importance, have entered the second phase of their renovation project. This emblematic location is known for its contribution to stained-glass heritage and remains a symbol of ancestral expertise.

Following their selection by the Heritage Foundation (Fondation du patrimoine), a fundraising campaign has successfully secured 500,000 euros. These funds are dedicated to the restoration and preservation of this site, ensuring that its distinct identity and historical structure are maintained for future generations.

The work currently underway aims to secure the building while respecting its original architecture and technical legacy. This initiative marks a crucial step in safeguarding the tangible memory of the workshops, which continue to represent an essential chapter in French craftsmanship.
