A new contemporary art space has just been inaugurated on Île Seguin, marking a significant transformation of the area. This site, emblematic of French industrial history, once housed the Renault factories.
For its inaugural exhibition, titled "Imaginary Engine", the art center offers an exploration of the site's industrial heritage. Nearly 120 works by 55 artists are presented, covering a period from the 1930s to the present day. This selection includes pieces directly from the car manufacturer's own art collection.
The "Imaginary Engine" exhibition provides an artistic reinterpretation of Île Seguin's industrial past, highlighting Renault's legacy through the lens of contemporary art. This initiative contributes to the promotion and preservation of the site's memory.
