Four casemates disguised as Norman houses, taken after three days of fighting.
Camouflaged with painted shutters and roofs, Azeville Battery protected Utah Beach's rear. It only fell on 9 June to the US 22nd Infantry Regiment after a flamethrower assault. A 350-metre underground trail is open to visitors.
