A vast artillery complex forgotten and rediscovered in the 21st century.
Buried beneath fields for decades, the Maisy site was rediscovered in 2004. Over two kilometres of trenches, four casemates and numerous shelters reveal the scale of the German positions between Omaha and Utah. The Rangers captured it on 9 June.
